Excellence in Cities - Excellence in Cities is a DfES strategy for supporting city schools to raise standards of achievement
Executive Board - LCC decision making forum
Family groupings - Families are one of the ways schools in Leeds are grouped together on an area basis
Governors Forum - Elected and representative group of governors
Headteachers Forum - Elected and representative group of headteachers
Key Stages - Key Stages are the way age groups are divided up under the National Curriculum
Learning Skills Council - The LSC is a regional body responsible for post-16 provision and funding across West Yorkshire
Leeds Learning Network - The LLN is a city-wide network that links schools, the LEA, Libraries, and other places in the city where learning takes place.
Schools Forum - Elected and representative group of governors and headteachers who advise the Executive Board on budget matters
Serious Weaknesses - Serious Weaknesses is an OFSTED term for schools facing significant problems
Special Measures - Special Measures is an OFSTED term for schools with exceptional difficulties
