Building Schools for the Future (BSF) is a programme to rebuild or renew every secondary school in the country.

But it is about far more than just bricks and mortar.

Leeds BSF is a once-in-a-generation investment in the future of Leeds, its young people and the city’s communities.

It is an opportunity to raise aspirations and transform learning for thousands of young people.

Through BSF in Leeds we are transforming secondary schools across the city in to state-of-the-art 21st century learning environments, which place young people on their own personal path to success.

Each school has unique features reflecting the needs of the young people, families and wider communities it serves, and all Leeds BSF schools are brilliant spaces fit for 21st century teaching and learning, offering:

flexible and varied spaces, enabling different styles of teaching and learning
• unprecedented levels of cutting-edge learning technology
• a professional approach to subjects and learning, with industry-standard equipment and university-style learning spaces
futureproof design for the curriculum of today and tomorrow
bright, open and safe spaces designed with young people to engage young people
• more opportunities for vocational and skills-based learning
• fully inclusive facilities, giving every young person access to the learning, support and care they need
• unique features to reflect the unique needs of the communities they serve

The schools will give young people the chance to learn anytime, anywhere, inspiring independent learning and challenging every young person to find the personal learning style which helps them to succeed.

And they are far more than schools; they will be the hub for lifelong learning, leisure facilities and other services for people and groups at the heart of the communities they serve.
