Our objective is for all Leeds schools to be successful, with effective headteachers, staff and governors working together to ensure that every child and young person has opportunities for achievement and success. Leeds is a vibrant city where no two schools or children are the same. We recognise diversity and want all our staff to embrace the journey towards excellence even in challenging times. We have developed strong links with Initial Teacher Training (ITT) providers and work in partnership with recruitment agencies to help high quality professionals find work in Leeds schools. Links and information about both are provided below. Good luck with your job search and we hope to meet you soon.
Routes Into Teaching
TEACH LEEDS
TEACH LEEDS is a partnership between B-NETT (Bradford and Northern Employment- based Teacher Training) and a consortium of primary and secondary schools in Leeds and is supported by Education Leeds.
Schools in the TEACH LEEDS partnership are committed to working together to train highly-motivated graduates to become teachers through the graduate teacher programme.
TEACH LEEDS is an innovative partnership which will bring benefits to the trainees who are selected to be trained in one of its schools. TEACH LEEDS schools will work closely with B-NETT and with the other schools in the partnership to share and capitalise on the strengths and expertise available within the partnership schools and to develop excellent practice.
Schools will be welcoming their first “TEACH LEEDS” trainee(s) in September 2011.
